Privacy Policy

Sands is built to keep your data on your devices. We don't run servers, we don't have accounts, and we don't collect, transmit, or sell your information.

What Sands accesses, and why

Calendar (optional). If you turn on calendar features, Sands reads your upcoming events on-device to show your next event and to let you attach a routine to an event. Event data never leaves your iPhone or Apple Watch and is never sent anywhere. You choose which calendars Sands can see, and you can revoke access at any time in Settings.
Notifications (optional). Sands schedules local notifications on your watch for timers, leave-by alerts, and routine reminders. These are created and delivered entirely on your device.
On-device AI (optional). "Describe a routine" uses Apple's on-device Foundation Models to turn your text into steps. The text is processed on your device and is not sent to Apple or anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing. Sands has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs that collect data. Your routines, timers, session history, and settings are stored locally and synced only between your own iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity.

Purchases

Sands Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases are handled by Apple; Sands never sees your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs the transaction.

Data you can delete

Your activity history (used for weekly Insights) can be cleared any time from Insights → Clear history. Deleting the app removes all Sands data from your device.

Children

Sands is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
